About Abigail Holmes
Abigail Holmes is a passionate vocalist/musician whose purpose is to train and develop others to pursue their God-given talents and dreams. Abigail studied Music Theory, voice, and theatre under Dr. Samuel Germany at Cedar Valley College in Dallas, TX. She has achieved her Associate of Arts from Cedar Valley. She now attends the University of Texas at Arlington and is working towards completing her Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance.
Abigail is an active member of the Family Music Theatre program, and has starred in numerous musicals over the past several years. Her involvement at FMT includes roles in "The Pirate Queen" (Ensemble), "The Little Mermaid" (Mersister), "Hairspray" (Penny Pingleton), "Beauty and the Beast" (Belle), "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (Ensemble), "Newsies" (Katherine Plumber), and “Ragtime” (Ensemble) . Other shows have included, "The Music Man" (Ensemble), "Fiddler on the Roof" (Ensemble), and "The Sound of Music" (Ensemble).
Abigail has been recognized for her academic, vocal, and acting achievements. These awards include:
- Valedictorian of high school graduating class of 2016
- Member of National Honor Society
- Member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
- Recipient of the Alice Jones-Berding Music Award
- Recipient of the Family Music Theatre Book Scholarship
- Awarded Best Supporting Actress for role as Penny Pingleton in "Hairspray"
Abigail began tutoring Music Theory and Fundamentals to Music students in the Fall of 2017. Shortly after, she began helping other vocalists grow in their giftings and opened her own vocal training studio.
Abigail is immensely excited to come along-side of other talented and gifted young people, and help them discover and nurture their full potential in the realm of music and voice.
